Good People Go Through Hard Times too…

Good people go through hard times too.

Near the end of last year I was in an automobile accident that left me with 3 herniated discs in my neck. After MRI’s were done my physician told me that I had a permanent injury and that I would have complications from this for the rest of my life.

The physical pain alone was enough to keep me from my regular work outs, and coupled with massive brain-fog slowly but surely I started slipping up on my health and started eating one too many cheat meals and started packing on the pounds and noticing my pants getting tighter.

In April, I stepped onto the scale and noticed I was heavier than I had been in a long time, and my body fat was around 20%. It’s crazy how quickly the fat can pack on when you’re not careful!

I guess you could say the pain was great enough!

I decided to recommit full-throttle to the very nutritional cleansing program I coach my clients through, and over the past months have dropped my body fat percentage down to 9%, released 20+ lbs, and feel INCREDIBLE!

My transformation wasn’t overnight, it took a couple months, but I enjoyed the process the whole way! Just followed a very simple system that I knew from experience worked and was fun! For those that follow me on SnapChat and Instagram know that yes, I still enjoy my burgers, chicken wings, IPA beers, and chocolates :-p because in order for you to have long term success it can’t be about living in a prison sentence, it’s gotta be about creating a healthy lifestyle with some balance and flexibility so you don’t lose your sanity.

My intention is that this post provides some inspiration to someone out there that may have been knocked down as well by life and found their health slip up on them.

See life has a tendency to try to bury dirt on top of our dreams and ambitions. Many dreams get buried under a divorce, under a bankruptcy, under an addiction…It’s up to YOU to grab the shovel back and keep your dreams alive and healthy! It’s not about what happens to you in life, it’s how you respond to the situation that matters.
