Two Years on a Fully Plant Based Vegan Diet – Why I’m Still Vegan
It’s officially been 2 YEARS since I adopted a fully plant based vegan diet!
Guess this is the point where my bones will start crumpling and I’ll start withering away slowly from lack of protein ?
But on the real, I’ve never felt better guys!
This has been truly the easiest it has ever been in my entire life to consistently maintain a low body fat percentage while being able to eat as much as I want.
I track my weight daily, and so as I look back I see that I used to have huge fluctuations in my weight, I’d be fat part of the year, and then cut, and then fat again lol was crazy! But now I just maintain a lean figure all year long, and never worry about counting calories or even worst counting carbs ?
One of my favorite benefits to eating this way is the wide variety of foods that I now get to enjoy. I know that sounds contrary to what you would think as most people assume vegans only eat salads lol but I’ve never eaten such a wide variety of foods in my life! I’m constantly trying new foods, and eating the most delicious meals.
I try to eat mostly whole food plant based, but I definitely do enjoy my vegan junk food as well. Now a days there is a delicious tasting vegan version of literally every single kind of food you can imagine! There’s a learning curve involved to figuring out which foods you enjoy most while nailing down a system that works for you in finding a good balance to eat healthy while still maintaining a lean figure.
My reasons for why I live this way is #1 for animal ethics, #2 the health of the planet, and #3 to live a long healthy life.
I respect everyone’s right to eat how they wish and never try to force my views onto anyone, my philosophy is just to lead by example.
I applaud any small step that someone takes towards changing their health for the better even if it’s just upgrading their foods to organic, or incorporating just one meatless meal a week. In my opinion every effort that someone makes to take a step in the right direction is a great thing because all great things begin with a first step of taking action, and together as we all make just small incremental changes in our lifestyle it begins to change the world!
